The International Institute of Space Law’s Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Committee and the Space Court Foundation have signed an agreement whereby SCF is the exclusive organizer, fundraiser, manager, and promoter of the North American Regional Competition. The Lachs Moot is an international moot court competition with five Regions: North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia Pacific. Over 100 law schools from around the world participate in this prestigious competition each year. The five Regional winners participate in the world finals, which involve preliminary rounds and a final round between the top two Regional winners before three judges from the International Court of Justice. Nathan Johnson, SCF Director of Special Projects, is the named Regional Organizer of the North American Competition.
